Moffi on target but Messi, Mbappe, Neymar steal the show as PSG trash Lorient
Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi was on target, but it was not enough to prevent Lorient from a 5-1 thrashing at Parc des Princes.
Moffi scored his fifth goal on a night PSG's attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe all scored for the first time in the same match this season.
PSG were looking to bounce back after their loss to Monaco just before the international break.
Mauricio Pochettino's men got off to a good start when Neymar opened the scoring in the 12th minute following a brilliant pass from Mbappe.
One soon became two as Mbappe fired home from the edge of the box just before the half-hour mark.
PSG continued to dominate, but Lorient kept it tight at the back to keep it 2-0 at half-time.
Les Merlus started the second half with more purpose, and they got back in the game through Moffi's strike in the 56th-minute.
But the Nigerian's goal turned out to be a consolation as Mbappe restored PSG's two-goal lead in the 67th-minute.
The goals did not end there as Messi also got on the act for PSG's fourth. Neymar then added gloss to the scoreline with his second strike in added time.
The result means PSG extend their lead at the top to 12 points.
