The game between the countries is set to go on despite the ongoing war in Ukraine involving Russia.

In the press conference looking forward to the game, Zinchenko was in tears as he spoke about the hardship war has brought to Ukraine.

Zinchenko at the press conference was emotional highlighting that children in Ukraine are severely affected by the war.

He said, "Every Ukrainian wants one thing - to stop this war. I spoke to people from different countries, all over the world and I spoke to some Ukrainian kids who just don't understand what's happening back in Ukraine.

"They only want the war to stop. They have one dream to stop the war.

The Manchester City star who has been critical of Russian President Vladimir Putin then went on to discuss the importance of qualification for the World Cup and what it means to the citizens of Ukraine during the war.

He added, "When it comes to football, the team, we have our own dream.

"We want to go to the World Cup, want to give these incredible emotions to the Ukrainians because they deserve it so much at this very moment."
