How long have you been doing what you do? How did you get started?

Officially I started in late 2013, so it's a bit over 2 years now. I've always done music, it's always been a part of my life; I just didn't put out any music officially till 2013.

Is there an early memory you’d like to share about getting into your craft, such as when you realized this was more than just a hobby or a passion?

I realized a while ago music was more than a hobby and that it could actually change the world and impact the lives of millions of people. For example, Fela and Michael Jackson really touched the world with their music. That's the impact I'm trying to have with my own music.

How do you describe your sound/what you do to people who haven’t heard before?

My sound is very versatile; Very energetic and infectious. I am comfortable rapping and doing Afro-pop. I also like to infuse a lot of the old school Afro-juju and Fuji music.

Who are your influences? What is some advice that has stuck with you?

God is my number one influence. People living their daily lives hustling, you know, that's what I want to represent to just everyday people living and trying to get by are a big influence. Additionally, people like Fela, Sunny Ade, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Tuface, Davido, Olamide, Phyno have been big influences.

What do you hope people take away from listening to your music?

I just hope people listen to my music and it motivates them to feel like they can get up every day and go get it. I hope people can listen to my music and feel less stressed and more excited about living.

Tell us a little bit about your new project, such as concepts/themes, what inspired you, what the creative process was like, etc

My new project "LOGO" really took a lot of recourses from me and my team. It was recorded in December last year and instantly we could feel that it was a song that could have a solid impact. From December till we dropped it in June, we worked tirelessly on making sure everything was right and we even planned this trip to Nigeria around promoting the song and getting it more exposure in this market.

The song and its theme, for me, embodies my musical message which is basically saying "just do your best, don't stress, everything will be okay as long as you keep going."

What does the rest of 2016 look like? What can we keep an eye out for?

As we speak now, we are working on a remix to “ LOGO” with one of the biggest artists in Nigeria (I don't want to give it away yet) and I have another single and video that will also be dropping in a couple of months that will be a solid follow up single. Watch out for those, we intend to consistently keep dropping good music and solid visuals.
