According to Rariya Reports, a Hausa News portal, the hospital vehemently refused to allow the family the use of its ambulance to transport the deceased to their hometown for burial since they could not afford to pay for the transportation.

The family had to improvise and borrow the barrow from someone and take the corpse home.

This is what Raiya posted on their Facebook wall as translated by a user, Nura Alkali:

"This is the corpse of a woman who died at a public hospital in Karasuwa LGA, Yobe State.

The family of the deceased lacked money for ambulance service, so hospital authorities declined to transport the corpse home for burial."

"For that reason, the family found a wheelbarrow which took the corpse home."
