News reports reveal that doctors have now successfully separated the youngest set of Siamese twins ever.

Daily Records reports that the 8-day-old twin girls, Lydia and Maya, were separated in a surgery that lasted for 5 hours by Medics and a team of 13 in Bern Switzerland.

Swiss media goes on to report that the twins were "extensively conjoined on the liver, but had all vital organs" in complete sets.

The twins are now reported to be doing great, adding weight as well as breast-feeding, following the operation that had taken place on December 10, 2015.
