Video of a girl beating a man for harassment has gone viral

A video of a schoolgirl serving a man with slaps at a police station has gone viral, Hindustan Times reports.

The girl stopped Ankit Rajput's motorcycle on Sunday by blocking the way with her bicycle in front of Puranpur police station and dragged him inside the premises, police said.The video shows the girl hitting the boy with her shoe and making him touch her feet as an apology for allegedly harassing her.

The police personnel present seemed to be egging her on with a voice heard saying, "chal beta, maar", which seemed like encouragement for the girl.

"He used to harass us every day. When it went beyond limits and the abuses grew worse, we decided to act," the girl told the press.

Though the police let the youth off with an apology as no complaint was made from the girl's side, superintendent of police JK Shahi has ordered an inquiry.

Social media was split over the incident with most users calling her brave and congratulating her "teaching the harasser a lesson." Others said it was wrong for the police to allow such a thing happen in a police station.
