Ghanaian actor John Dumelo vows to walk from Accra to Lagos if Super Eagles beat Black Stars

John Dumelo a popular Ghanaian actor has given his verdict ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup double-header playoff qualifier between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars.

The first leg is set to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Ahead of the game, Dumelo took to social media to share his thoughts.

The actor who is now a politician posted a message on his official Instagram account to back his country Ghana against Nigeria.

Dumelo is sure that the Black Stars of Ghana will be victorious and even stated possible consequences should they fail.

According to Dumelo, he is ready to walk from Accra capital of Ghana to Lagos the commercial capital of Nigeria if the Super Eagles get a win against the Black Stars.

The message on his Instagram account said, “There’s no way Nigeria will win today’s match. If they do, I John Setor Dumelo will walk barefoot from Accra to Lagos tomorrow morning with my ginger on my head. Super Eagles my foot,” he wrote.

The comment by Dumelo who is well known in Nollywood led to comments from Nigerian actors.

Nigerian actress, screenwriter, and film producer Uche Jombo Rodriguez responded with a comment, "The walk go make brain die."

Former Big Brother Africa contestant Uti Nwachukwu wrote, "We have accepted your promise."

Lilian Esoro wrote, "Charlie reserve this energy for the walk o. No story", while Ruth Kadiri added, "Go and buy your ginger down o."
