The UK Afrobeats star, despite being nominated for Best International Act - UK at the 2015 BET awards, the superstar snubbed the ceremony. Instead, the Antenna singer made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury 2015.

Fuse ODG has won many awards during his career, including an MTV AMA for afro pop song of the year, but there is one accolade the TINA hitmaker will not be displaying on his mantelpiece – a BET award.

Taking to social media to reveal reasons for his absence, he disclosed that he was a no-show at the Microsoft Centre event in Los Angeles as BET does not show respect to musicians in the various International Act categories.

The 27 year old's comment provoked a strong response from the online community and was retweeted over 3000 times.

He is not the first star to attack the show in recent weeks.

"I really hate getting nominated for @BET awards. They're so bogus," Banks began. "The female rap award at the bet awards goes to nicki every year, it's not even a real award anymore lol it's a bit of a running joke."

Fuse ODG recently released the video to his Killbeatz-produced hit titled ‘Only’. The high definition video is filled with energy and has the African culture embedded in it. But the most striking part of the visual is the cameo appearances by certain animals peculiar to the wilds of the continent.
