Lazio Plotting To Stop Onazi From Joining English Club

Serie A club Lazio have sorted to improve the contract of Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi just to stop him from moving to England.

The player whose current contract with the club earns him just €200,000per year, which is smal compared to what other players in his class take home annually, has been discussing his future with the club with a new and improved contract being a major topic of discussion; he is wanted in England by several Premiership clubs.

According to  Italian media , the has demanded €1m per year and the club is willing to improve the contract to ward off English suitors.

Onazi joined the club in 2011 after a successful trial with the club and has who won the Coppa Italia with the side in 2013, making 29 Serie A appearances last season.
