Richard Gasquet beats Nick Kyrgios to win
Richard Gasquet cruised to his 12th ATP tour title with a straight-sets victory over Nick Kyrgios to win the inaugural Estoril Open.
Gasquet need just an hour and four minutes to beat Kyrgios 6-3 6-2 at the clay-court event in Portugal.
Having come from behind to beat Gasquet in five sets in the Wimbledon second round last year, Australian Kyrgios will have headed into the tournament showpiece with confidence.
But the big-serving 20-year-old was second best throughout his first ATP tour final, with Gasquet dominating proceedings from start to finish.
Kyrgios was held to just two aces in the match and won only 62 per cent of first service points in contrast to Gasquet's 93 per cent.
Experienced Frenchman Gasquet needed only one break of serve to take a first set that lasted a mere 26 minutes.
And he promptly raced away with the second, winning the first four games before holding serve to love to secure success.
