The 'Omo Alhaji' rapper was nominated alongside Riky Rick, Emtee and Olamide among others at the show.

The Tinny Entertainment rap act has been nominated in Headies 2016 Next Rated Act alongside Tekno, Mr Eazi, Humblesmith and Aramide.

Ycee recently signed a distribution deal with Sony Music Entertainment Friday, October 21, 2016 in South Africa.

According to Sony Music, the deal will see the rapper’s first EP, “ The First Wave” released under the label.

Ycee whose real name is Oludemilade Martin Alejo first stepped into the music scene in 2012.

The rapper made his re-entry into the Nigerian music scene in 2015 and caused quite a stir with his singles including 'Condo',  'Jagaban' and 'Omo Alhaji'.

The start of 2016 saw him receiving the award for Rookie of The Year at the 2015 Headies.
