The actress beat Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), Claire Foy (The Crown), Keri Russell (The Americans), Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) and Robin Wright (House of Cards) to win the award.

This was Moss’ seventh Emmy nomination and first win; she has six nominations for her role as Peggy Olson in "Mad Men."

In "The Handmaid's Tale," Moss plays June Osborne/Offred, a Handmaid to Commander Fred Waterford and his wife, Serena Joy, mother of Hannah and wife of Luke.

Giving her acceptance speech, Moss thanked Hulu for the opportunity. However, she was bleeped out twice for obscenities.

First was the use of the *F* word and the second was when she thanked her mum for teaching her that you can be “brave and smart and that you can be a kind and f*cking badass.”

"The Handmaid's Tale" is an American television series created by Bruce Miller based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Canadian writer Margaret Atwood.

"The Handmaid's Tale" also beat "This is Us," "Stranger Things," "Westworld" among others to win the Best Drama Series.
