Following the unfortunate glitch in the system that caused the mass failure, national outrage followed, and Nigerians called out the JAMB at large. The official  JAMB account then took to Twitter to acknowledge the glitch, saying,

Man Proposes, God Disposes! It has been established that a technical glitch affected 157 centres out of the 887 centres in the 2025 UTME. This was basically responsible for the general low performance of the candidates scheduled to sit the examination in those centres. As such, all the affected candidates will be contacted to reprint their examination slips towards retaking their examinations starting from 16th May, 2025.

The post garnered equal outrage online, particularly the part that read, ‘Man Proposes, God Disposes!’ with many calling out the body for insensitivity. Among the outraged Nigerians was actor and activist Mr Macaroni who slammed JAMB for the lack of regard for the millions of students affected by the issue.

Outraged, Mr Macaroni reacted, “I still can’t believe this level of incompetence and irresponsibility laced with total lack of regard for all those affected. This can only happen in a country where there are no consequences for actions! We as a people have become so comfortable with accepting rubbish!!!”

The JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, was seen visibly emotional in a recent video as he admitted fault and offered a public apology to candidates who suffered from the glitch. JAMB has since announced the rescheduling of exams for affected candidates.
