Nigerian actor and activist Mr Macaroni has taken to social media to call out the Nigerian police over the viral video showing officers brutally assaulting a cab driver in Lagos State.
The video, recorded by two passengers, showed the cab driver being slapped repeatedly by a police officer, who sat in the passenger seat of the vehicle. According to reports, the assault continued after the driver was dragged out of his car, over to the other side of the road
Evidently outraged by the mistreatment of the civilian, Mr Macaroni took to X on May 19, 2025, blasting the Nigerian police for their officers' behaviour.

“Nigerian Police!!! Please have some shame!” he wrote in another post.
The video triggered equivalent outrage across social media, with many Nigerians narrating their own experiences at the hands of the police.
This same thing happened to me on Saturday 17/ 05/25 at ozioba by AIT port Harcourt where a police man by name Uket O. Abam stopped me on my bike and ask I should give him 50k for riding a bike without plate number. Which I told him I don't have 50k to give him,
