His son was born yesterday (February 5, 2016). This is Mr. Ibu’s third child. He has a daughter named Chelsea and a son Jay Jay born in 2014.

In 2012 John Okafor’s son Emmanuel died after he was kidnapped with his wife. Mr. Ibu blamed the death of his son on his ex-wife. Emmanuel died ten days after Mr. Ibu paid his ransom.

John Okafor married Stella Maris in 2015. Their traditional wedding was done years before. The actor gave his wife a new Lexus Jeep.

Last month John Okafor cursed actors who allegedly diverted funds meant for the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
