American film actress, Ann Morgan Guilbert, has died after losing her battle against cancer.

Guilbert passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, according to her daughter, Nora Eckstein.

She is popular for her roles in The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Nanny, a hit sitcom in the 1960s, in which she played the role of Grandma Yetta.

Guilbert’s acting career spanned over five decades. Her most recent TV appearances include playing the role of GiGi in comedy series “Life in Pieces”.

She also had a guest appearance in the medical drama, “Greys Anatomy”.

Before her passing, Guilbert was married to producer, George Eckstein, whom she met during her college days at Stanford University.

They had two daughters together.
