Witness says elections results were forged in Senator’s favour

A witness at the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has reportedly alleged that the results of the Kogi West Senatorial District elections were falsified by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in favour of Senator Dino Melaye.

The witness, Feinti Dada, who was invited by Melaye’s opponent, Senator Smart Adeyemi, made the disclosure on Thursday, September 17, 2015, according to Vanguard.

Dada also reportedly said that the polls were marred by irregularities in 21 units of five wards in Lokoja Local Government Area of the state.

Adeyemi was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 28 election and Dada was his agent.
