Ferrer was the top seed for the grass-court tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch, but pulled out on Monday citing a stomach issue.

The 32-year-old Spaniard reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon both last year and in 2012.
But he admitted he was unsure if he would feature at this year's tournament on Tuesday, revealing he had been batting the problem for more than a week.
"I'm not sure if I can play at Wimbledon," Ferrer said.
"I'm going to talk with my doctor in Valencia tomorrow and see.

"It's been 10 days now and that's just too long for this problem."
Ferrer made the quarter-finals at the French Open earlier this month before losing to eventual champion Rafael Nadal in four sets.
