Former assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi, has stepped own from his position as coach of Nigeria Professional Football League team, FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

The former Nigeria international was just appointed head coach of the side last month but has resigned due to yet to known reasons.

"Yes, I have resigned as the coach of Ifeanyi Ubah. I am in Kaduna right now," Amokachi told

Several reports however have revealed that the former Everton player was sacked as a result of insubordination.

After their 1-0 loss to Sharks FC in Port Harcourt on Sunday, September 13, the club ordered the team to embark on a night journey.

Amokachi however rejected the order and was reportedly asked to stay away from the club over alleged insubordination.
