Ronaldo has been rumoured to be gayafter French journalist Estelle Denis alleged that his frequent trips in his private jet to Morocco is to visit his gay partner Badr Hari who is a kickboxer.

Sections of Barcelona fans at the Nou Camp were heard chanting ‘maricon’- an offensive term used to describe a gay man- at Real Madrid star Ronaldo during the game.

The Spanish Observatory against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender phobia have now filed a complaint with Spain’s State Commission against Violence in Sport.

“These deplorable and shameful acts are punishable according to the law of sport (2007),” observatory director Francisco Ramirez said according to Eurosport.

“It is necessary to clarify that homophobia does not necessarily mean that people who suffer are homosexual, but only that other people believe it or use it to insult, harass and humiliate others.”

The State Commission can impose punishments on clubs and supporters who are found guilty of such offences.
