A football administrator Aminu Kurfi has expressed his dissatisfaction to the suspension of Nigeria on Wednesday by calling for the sack of the Sports Minister Dr. Tammy Danagogo.
Kurfi said: “We talked to top officials that we are doomed, but they refused to heed our sincere warning and this is where we now find ourselves.
“The minister, a qualified lawyer, was misguided by those who ought to know better. He should quit on account of his poor handling of this matter.’’
Nigeria is however faced with the task of meeting the July 15 deadline issued by FIFA or risk loosing its spot at the 2014 U-20 Women World Cup and any further football engagement involving the national team or Nigerian clubs, not excluding Nigerian officials.
A member of the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, added credence to the 'fallibility' when he disclosed in an interview that: ''We cannot have a minister (Tammy Danagogo) just come in the name of duty and turn our Football upside down''
