Barcelona star Ansu Fati teams up with Nigerian musician Omah Lay

Barcelona star Ansu Fati met up with Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay.

Fati met up with Omah Lay after helping Barcelona to a 3-1 victory against Celta Vigo in a La Liga fixture played on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

Ansu Fati recently returned for injury three games ago when Barcelona defeated Mallorca.

Since then, Fati went on to score for Barcelona in the away victory against Copa Del Rey winners Real Betis.

Omah Lay is one of the best young musicians from Nigeria. The Afro beats star with his self-produced single, "Bad Influence", went viral on social media.

The 24-year-old Omah Lay also recently featured global superstar Justin Bieber on his latest single.

Xavi Hernandez introduced Ansu Fati in place of Memphis Depay in the game against Celta Vigo.

Fati came on for Depay in the 64th minute and featured in his third clash since return from injury.

The meeting between Ansu Fati and Omah Lay happened after the game. The Barcelona star was on his way to his ride at the park when he bumped into Omah Lay.

They exchanged pleasantries and then Ansu Fati proceeded to gift Omah a signed jersey.

Fati has replaced Argentine football maestro Lionel Messi as the number 10 for Barcelona.

Omah Lay would also meet France star Ousmane Dembele who provided two goals against Celta Vigo to become rise to the top of the assist chart.

Omah Lay is not the first Nigerian musician to link up with a football star. American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido teamed up with Manchester United star Jadon Sancho.
