On the Akon lighting Africa project, the pop singer says it's a sustainable project that will continue as long as Africans are still demanding for electricity.

"I think with everyone's success, you got to do something with it, I don't think God blesses you to hold on to it, he always blesses those who he thinks is gonna continue his work in blessing others."

Akon talked about feeling guilty that he is over there in the developed countries when Africa is still behind. He feels Africa hasn't found the system to unite and stick together.

On the music front, Akon is looking at building the African music scene, even as he works on putting out his next album.

Akon talks about there being pleasant surprises in store on the album, and while there are a couple of features, the album is essentially going to give an Akon experience.
