Umar was unstoppable as he scored a goal and created another two for his teammates as Almeria eased past their visitors 3-1.
The former Dream Team striker showed his extreme prowess in front of goal when he beat two defenders with his run, before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.
The goal took is tally for the campaign to seven in eleven games this season. He also picked up an assist to extend his number in that regard to five.
It was a classy performance from a man who has been on top of his game for the past the 16 months, and it further explained why most of the biggest clubs in Europe wanted him.
Despite his good form for the club for the past 16 months , Sadiq Umar has never been given a single chance in the National Team by Nigeria's head coach Gernot Rohr.
The striker missed out from the 23 players invited for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic earlier this month.
The reason behind his omission from the National Team is still unclear, because the 24-year-old has proved it over time, that he's good enough to compete with Victor Osimhen.
Since joining Almeria played last seasons, he has played 52 matches and scored 29 goals, and only Paul Onuachu has scored more since that time.
The former Rangers and AS Roma forward is 185 cm tall, which makes him a perfect fit for the Super Eagles attack.
The former Flying Eagles star has done enough to get his first invitation to the Super Eagles, and coach Gernot Rohr can't continue to overlook him.
With Paul Onuachu currently out of form, I don't see why Rohr shouldn't extend an invite to Sadiq Umar and allow him to compete for a shirt.
Over the years, Rohr has been criticized for creating competition for his players, even in international friendly games, but he can make amend and Sadiq Umar his first senior call for November's international break.
