Roads to be closed as APC holds mass street rally tomorrow, March 7

According to the State Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa, sections of the road will be closed from 8am to 2pm to allow ease of access for the participants.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to hold a mass street rally in Lagos State, tomorrow, March 7.

The rally is being organized by the Muhammadu Buhari/Yemi Osinbajo Campaign Organization and is expected to kick off from Maryland, along Ikorodu Road through Funsho Williams Avenue and will terminate at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.

According to the State Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa, sections of the road will be closed from 8am to 2pm to allow ease of access for the participants.

A traffic advisory issued by the ministry also stated that “service lanes and unoccupied sections of the express lane corridor inward Teslim Balogun Stadium will be available to motorists during the procession.”

“Motorists are advised to use the service lanes of Ikorodu Road and Funso Williams Avenue, Agege Motor Road or Third Mainland bridge,” the advisory added.

The Commissioner also added that 200 LASTMA personnel would be deployed to manage traffic during the rally.
