US presidential aspirant, Donald Trump, has gotten into the sights of popular hacktivist collective Anonymous.

On March 4, the group posted a video declaring "total war" on Trump. As stated in the video, the group not only aims to bring down many of Trump's sites, but also halt his presidential bid by unearthing and exposing embarrassing information about the billionaire.

"We need you to shut down his campaign and sabotage his brand," said a Guy Fawkes-masked guy in the YouTube video.

According to the hacktivist, Trump is being targeted because his "inconsistent and hateful campaign has not only shocked the United States America, you have shocked the entire planet with your appalling actions and ideas."

Through the #OpTrump hashtag, the group is asking for help to bring down trumpchicago.com on April 1. The collective also plans to take down personal sites, business sites, and the candidates online presidential destinations.

Anonymous has already posted unverified personal information about Trump and staff, including his social security number.
