Ajayi has been impressive since he moved from CS Sfaxien to the Red devils in August 2016, where he was part of the as instrumental to Al-Ahly's , and was also voted among Africa's best 11 eleven players, at the Aiteo CAF Awards.
The Nigerian international has made a total of 92 appearances for Ahly and has contributed 30 goals and 23 assists.
The forward confirmed his invitation via his official Twitter handle with a message that said, "With grateful heart and total respect to the family of @NGSuperEagles and all #Nigerians, this invitation to our National Team is a dream come true  . I will make you all proud by the grace of God."
A statement on Al-Ahly's website said, "The administrative body of the football sector in Al-Ahli club received a letter from the Nigerian Football Federation informing him that the striker Junior Ajay will join his next national team, according to the international agenda."
The club website also stated that Ajayi will depart after their CAF Champions League qualifier in Gabon.
"It was decided that the Nigerian striker Ajay Ajay will travel to the camp of his country in Poland after the return of Ahli from Gabon, after a meeting back to the team Monana" the statement continued
earlier reported that the 22-year-old was voted man of the match in a league game for the Egyptian side.
Rohr is set to list players invited for the friendlieson Wednesday, March 7, however Las Palmas have revealed that Oghenekaro Etebo has been invited while reports suggest that Torino midfielder Joel Obiis set to be included.
Nigeria will play two preparatory matches against Poland in Wroclaw on Tuesday, March 23 and Serbia in London on Tuesday, March 27.
Ajayi was part of Nigeria's U-23 at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil.
