This device will make your photos look lonelier than ever

The selfie arm, created by artists Aric Snee and Justin Crowe, is different from a regular selfie stick because it is designed to be in the photo, giving the impression that you’re holding someone’s hand.

The Selfie arm is still a prototype.

Walking around with a selfie stick is proof that you either don’t have a friend to take your photo or you’re too embarrassed to ask a stranger to take one for you, and that’s depressing.

But the Selfie arm – a selfie stick that looks like an arm – takes this unfortunate situation to a whole new level.

The selfie arm, created by artists Aric Snee and Justin Crowe, is different from a regular selfie stick because it is designed to be in the photo, giving the impression that you’re holding someone’s hand.

Thankfully, the selfie arm is only a prototype and, as Design Boom puts it, a "sarcastic" commentary on our need to constantly show the internet that we exist.

Even if the selfie arm does become a real product, the number of places people will be able it carry it to keep shrinking every day. As it is, Selfie sticks are already banned in Wimbledon, Australian  galleries and many other places.
