Entries for the West Africa Mobile Awards are closing in two weeks

The awards gala will take place on May 18 at the Rooftop Lounge in Lagos to an audience of industry peers, respected judges, sponsors, media and partners

There are only two weeks left to submit entries for the West Africa Mobile Awards (WAMAS) with winners to be announced at an awards gala on May 18, 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Following the inaugural WAMAS, celebrated last year in Lagos, response to the West Africa Mobile Awards (WAMAS) has been positive, organisers say.

The awards will identify, recognise and celebrate the individuals and companies that are the driving force of the region’s mobile ecosystem.

Stakeholders, startups and established ventures driving mobile industry progress in West Africa are encouraged to submit entries for the 10 categories before the deadline which is on Friday, March 24, 2017.

The ten categories at the WAMAS  where nominations are welcome. Winners will be positioned for networking opportunities and global publicity.

For 2017, shortlisted finalists will get a chance to showcase themselves during day two of Mobile West Africa, providing a platform and exposure. Winners will also receive a wide range of benefits and advisory services to help drive their businesses forward, according to the organisers.

The WAMAS is supported by BBM, Wimbart, Kasi Insights, DressMeOutlet, Mobile West Africa (MWA) and AppsAfrica. The awards gala will take place on May 18 at the Rooftop Lounge in Lagos to an audience of industry peers, respected judges, sponsors, media and partners for an evening of celebration and networking.

An expert judging panel that includes industry leaders, independent journalists, analysts, academics and VCs will assess all entries. Organisers promise the process will be completely comprehensive, exhaustive and systematic.
