One of the aspirants for the chairmanship position of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George has withdrawn from the race.

He said that the South-West has been cheated because of aspirants from the South-South.
The PDP chieftain also accused the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike of insulting Yorubas.
George alleged that Wike said the South-West has never made any meaningful contribution to the party.
National chairmanship aspirants cleared
This is following the clearing of the nine chairmanship aspirants by the PDP screening committee.
The Chairman of the Screening Committee, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, disclosed this when he addressed journalists on the exercise at the PDP Secretariat on Friday in Abuja.
The PDP convention is slated to hold in Saturday, December 9, 2017.
