The protesters argued that IGP Idris has done well since he was appointed as Police boss.
The protesters, who turned out in their numbers on Thursday, September 7, 2017, converged at the main entrance to the National Assembly in Abuja.
Chanting solidarity songs, the protesters argued that IGP Idris has done well since he was appointed as the Police boss by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The protesters held up banners with inscriptions like, "Senate Should Call Sen. Hamma Misau To Order and Hand Him Over to Police", "Sen. Isa Hamma Misau is a deserter from the Nigeria Police Force: A criminal offence", and "We stand by IGP. Ibrahim K. Idris".
