Who's more important to a man; mother or wife?

A mothers love can not be replaced by another.

Truth be told, no one in their right senses would ever come between a mother and child.

But then, the ties a guy has to his mother will become affected when he marries.

Once he chooses to start his own family with another woman who deserves attention, time and every other thing, it is only normal that something would change in his relationship with his mum.

And so there has always been a tension/question of how this affects the relationship men have with their mothers.

Who deserves more love, who takes preference in a married man's life and which relationship should be more important to him? - with wife or with mother?

Artiste, Duncan Mighty believes it should be mums over wives.

"Woe unto any man who values his gf/wife more than his mother ..... My mother my everything," he recently expressed in an Instagram post praising mothers' efforts over their children.

Opinions are, of course, divided on this.

Contrary to Duncan Mighty's stand on the matter, many would say once he's married, a man's wife takes preference over his mother since she's closer to him now.

She literally sleeps with him, she's more privy to his needs, and she likely knows more of his body, spirit and soul than his mum.

It's easy to say 'oh, why can't men just love both equally?' but then, it's usually not as cut and dried as that.
