The annual fund raising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute holds every first Monday of May each year.

Easily one of the most anticipated exclusive fashion event of the year with Vogue's Anna Wintour as chairperson (since 1995), the exclusive party usually attracts only 600 guests with ticket around $30,000 for those not on the celebrity/VVIP guest list and tables priced around $275,000!

The theme for this year is Rei Kawakubo/Comme de Garçon: Art of the In-Between. Anna Wintour reportedly vetos celebrities in attendance at the gala according to their "relevance".
