Woman arrested for drugging, robbing lover in Lagos

A medical doctor who thought he was having fun by falling in love with a woman he met on a dating site had his fingers burnt.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman who drugged her medical doctor boyfriend before

The woman who has been identified as Mitchel Harrold, according to Premium Times, had several identities on social media and used them to defraud any man who falls in love with her.

It was gathered that the 37-year-old Harrold who hails from Warri, Delta State, had allegedly drugged the medical doctor, Daniel Biyi, in a hotel room in Ojodu area of Lagos and made away with his car, laptop and mobile phone and was later traced by security operatives through a car dealer whom she had engaged to perfect import papers for the stolen vehicle.

She was trailed by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), of the Lagos State Police Command to Agbor in Delta where she was arrested in her hideout.

In a statement released by the police, the suspect, and the medical doctor who met her on a dating site, Badoo, had, on January 19, 2017, at about 5:30 pm checked into a hotel in the Ojodu Berger area of the state with the plan to spend the night together.

Biyi told the police that he had gone in to take his bath and when he came out, the woman who used the name Aisha Ibrahim on the dating site, gave him a mixture of malt drink and yoghurt but that after taking the drink, he slept off and only woke up in the afternoon the next day.

That was when it dawned on him that Harrold had made away with his valuables and reported the matter to the police.

An official of the RRS said:

“Harold and the medical doctor checked into the hotel in Ojodu Berger, around 5.30 pm on Thursday, January 19.

The woman, after settling down, went out to get a bottle of malt drink and yogurt, while the doctor went to take his bath. When he finished from the bathroom, he met the drinks on the table, took them and slept off.”

However, during interrogation, Harold allegedly told the police statement that she met the doctor on Badoo and they had been in a relationship for about a year and she stole his car and other items because he refused to pay her an agreed sum after sleeping with her.
