A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for dumping baby born by his 15-year-old girlfriend.

A 17-year-old boy in Kentucky, USA, has been arrested by the police for allegedly throwing a new born baby delivered for him by a 15-year-old girl in a dump site, reports Latest.Com.

Sergeant David Shepherd of the McCracken County Police believe the boy was responsible for dumping the baby in the dumpster and he has since been taken him into custody.

Sgt. Shepherd responded to a 911 call to find the baby still alive and cared for the infant until paramedics arrived and took the baby to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation..

He said:

“The medical personnel did actually have to get inside of the dumpster as well to care for the child.

No matter any law enforcement training you provide for us, articulate or tactical or anything like that; and then you place a newborn baby in front of us. There’s not normal training for that. And it’s all hands on deck for that one.”

The teen seen dumping the infant has been charged with attempted murder, first-degree criminal abuse and tampering with physical evidence.

After his arrest, the suspect reportedly admitted to putting the baby in the dumpster during an interview with investigators, claiming his 15-year-old girlfriend gave birth to the baby.

The young mother who was found bleeding hours after the newborn was found, was also taken to the hospital to be treated.
