There is an ongoing debate on whether the pregnant women rescued from the Boko Haram insurgents should abort or keep their babies.

In the past few weeks, the Nigerian military has rescued over 700 women and girls from the clutches of the Boko Haram insurgents.

There has been intense debate how to rehabilitate the over 200 girls and women who have been found to be carrying babies sired by the terrorists as they were made to become sex slaves.

One of the rescued women narrated tales of woes and how the bandits took turns to sleep with them and got many of them pregnant.

Now the debate is on how to handle the situation. While many fear that such babies may take the traits of the insurgents and as such, should be aborted, others are of the view that the children are innocent and should not be killed.
