18-yr-old boy arrested for killing, burying Okadaman

This teenage robber, cult gang leader and murderer believe his irresponsible upbringing led him into a life of crime.

Eastern Heartland reports that John who was arrested following a tip-off has already led police operatives to the Igwebuike Forest where he and four members of his cult gang killed and buried the victim, where the remains were exhumed.

While confessing to the crime, John allegedly blamed his predicament on the fact that he was a product of a dysfunctional home where he grew up to become irresponsible.

The suspect reportedly told the police that he and his gang had lured the victim, a commercial motorcycle rider popularly called Okadaman, to the forest and killed him with a rod after snatching his motorcycle.

“We were three, , and I. We asked him [ the victim], to take us to the place ][forest]. It was Davido who hit him with the rod and when he died, we buried him there.

I am 18 years old, but my parents didn’t train me at all. I am a product of an irresponsible home. I regret my action. I didn’t get any money from the sale of the motorcycle.

Davido took the money; he said he was going to Elele, Rivers State, to start a new life. I don’t know how much he sold the motorcycle,” the teenaged killer said.

The State Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO], SP Andrew Enwerem who confirmed the incident, said John and four others who belonged to the Iceland Cult group, lured the victim to the forest on October 5, 2017, where they killed him.

“This is a case of robbery and murder. The suspect who claims to be 18-years-old, and his gang members, robbed and murdered one Stanley Eluwa on October 5.

He was arrested on October 24 for stealing an amplifier from the New Life Bible Church. During interrogation, he confessed to the murder case. He led the police and the family members of the slain man to the forest where they killed and buried the victim in a shallow grave.
