American rap duo announce dates for new albums

Rappers, J Cole and Drake are set to release new albums in the coming weeks

Having both achieved critical and commercial successes in the past, they are both set to release new projects and you don't have to wait long for it.

Following the tradition of announcing new projects at a moment's notice, a marketing style that has worked for the likes of Beyonce. Rapper, J. Cole took to his official twitter account to announce that his fifth full length studio album was just a couple of days away.

Prior to the announcement, Cole had posted an invite for a show at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre, believed to be the album's listening party as he instructed, “No phones. No cameras. No bags. No press list. No guess list,”.

Fillers from attendees at the show claim that the new album will contain 12 tracks that was recorded over a period of two weeks.

J Cole's last album was 4 Your Eyes Only, which was released in 2016.

Another artist who announced the released date for his new album is God's plan rapper, Drake.

Drake has been winning since the turn of the year following the release of billboard topping singles, 'God's Plan' and 'Nice for what', with accompanying visuals and he is set to cement that, following the announcement of his new album titled, '' due to be released on the June 28, 2018.

On Monday (April 16), the rapper made the big announcement via his Instagram page by way of photo. In the image, Drake backing a camera is seen sporting a jacket with the words "Scorpion," "June 2018" and "by Drake."

In a follow-up post, he uploaded a picture of a gold pendant with the image of a scorpion in reference to the album title, which is the astrological sign for when he was born on October 24. The captions of both photos are "June 2018."
