This sudden news hit a lot of Nigerians with a tinge of sadness. For over a decade (13 years to be exact) Frank Edoho had hosted one of the popular game shows on Nigerian TV.

The popularity of the franchise game show never dwarfed Frank Edoho. He was able to pull his own presence and remarkable as well. In 13 years as the host, Frank Edoho used the platform to establish himself as one of Nigeria's male TV presenters, up there with the likes of Andre Blaze and Ebuka ObiUchendu.

His use of wit, sarcasm plus his poker face pushed the audience to the edge. Frank Edoho mastered how to make the audience as tense as the contestant. It's like you could feel your heart beating fast when there was huge money at stake.

He mixed this with his on-camera charm and gentleman demeanor. His huge presence made him comfortable as the master of the show. He could heat the game up and take it back down with just the raise of an eyebrow.

Frank Edoho on the game show knew how to tantalize and tease till you couldn't stand it anymore. It's no surprise that he held this gig for 13 good years.

A lot of people only knew about Edoho when he started hosting the Ultima Sudios produced show. However, fans of radio in Lagos would have been familiar with him.

In the 2000's Frank Edoho was part of the golden generation of METRO FM, the FRCN's answer to hip and young private radio stations in Lagos.

Frank Edoho was part of the talented bunch of on-air-personalities which included Cordelia Okpei, Sulai Aledeh, Charles Anazodo, Bassey and others.

Frank Edoho attracted a lot of listeners on drive time show called "Cruise Control". His cool, strong voice plus his good taste in music made the show a hit in the Lagos metropolis.

The TV host has a deep broadcast background. He started off as a presenter at Cross River Broadcasting Corporation. He later moved to NTA Channel 9 in Calabar where he presented the breakfast television programme. He did this while he was an undergraduate at the University of Calabar.

When he graduated he moved to Lagos and joined DBN as editor, news producer and presenter. He would later move to Metro FM.

Not many TV hosts in Nigeria can brag about keeping the level of suspense up after 13 years. For now, only Frank Edoho can.

Nigeria will miss him.
