They go the extra mile just make sure they make a statement from the way they plan these parties, the guest they invite, the venue where these parties are held not to forget their outfits. We take a look at three celebrities who have celebrated their birthdays in grand style recently.

1. Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde turned 40th in February 2018 and she had one of the biggest birthday parties ever! To kick start the birthday celebrations, she planned a five-day event which included visiting orphans and widows and event partying with them. The climax of the five-day event was the ball which was themed #Omotola4point0. From the decorations at the venue of the party to the music, it was really a big party. So big, the event was anchored by two of Nigeria's most prominent comedians, TeeA and Bovi.

When it was time for music, two seasoned DJs were on hand to keep the party lively, with DJ Humility taking it back to the 80s and 90s while DJ Obi kept the guest updated with the latest tunes. D'banj was also on hand to keep the guest dancing and entertained. The roll call of the guest was endless from prominent businessmen including AlikoDangote to practically all the A-list actors in the Nollywood industry.

2. Mercy Aigbe

Turning 40 is a big deal to a lot of celebrities and when Mercy Aigbe turned 40 on the 1st day of January 2018, she decided to celebrate in a big way. First was her pre-birthday photo shoot which went viral because of the dress and the drama that followed suit. However, on the day of the party, colleagues of the actress turned up to celebrate with her. It was one big party as virtually every blog and tabloid carried the story.

One of the highlights of the birthday party was when the actor, Saheed Balogun took to the dance floor with his ex-wife, Fathia Balogun and sprayed her a lot of money. The video of the former celebrity couple dancing went viral immediately after it was released.

3. Pasuma

Fuji music legend, Pasuma turned 50th in December 2017 and celebrated in grand style. First was his trip to visit the less privileged where he donated items to them. Then was it was time for the grand party of it all. The event was anchored by two versatile comedians, Helen Paul and Basketmouth.

The guest who turned up for the celebration included captains of industries, politicians, musicians and other celebrities including small doctor, Iyabo Ojo, DaddyShowkey, Yinka Quadri, Femi Adebayo, Liz da Silva, Ronke Odunsanya, Faitha Williams.
