According to him, the program called Presidential Initiative Project for the Northeast, includes provisions for the education of the children affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.

“The federal government has a bigger project for these young children, the Presidential Initiative Project for the Northeast which comprises short, medium and long term projects," Osinbajo said.

"Part of it is education for the children that are now at IDP camps and for all children who have been displaced. Government must create more opportunities for displaced children."

The Vice President noted that "it is the duty of the federal government working with state governments to ensure rebuilding of the affected places".

He promised that the government will ensure that all internally displaced persons (IDPs) can return home.
