Automaker's football team fines Bendtner for posting photos of rival brand[PHOTO]

Nicklas Bendtner, who plays for VfL Wolfsburg, Volkswagen’s team, is in trouble for posting a picture of a Mercedes.

The Mercedes Benz that got the footballer fined

According to Carbuzz, this is against the rules because the VfL Wolfsburg is owned and sponsored by Volkswagen.

Wolfsburg's director of sport, Klaus Allofs, says the photo violates team policy.

"We have our rules, one of those being that you must pay attention to how you are photographed in public. The rules are not new. It's misconduct and it's careless, which at the end of the day will cost [] money."

Bendtner, the fined footballer, had posted a picture of the Benz Mercedes with the caption: “On my way to another session”.
