Crvena Zvezda – Cluj (kick-off at 6 PM CET)

Match Preview

This match comes after the Red Star secured a crucial EuroLeague victory against ASVEL, guaranteeing them a play-in spot in the competition. It also precedes their clash in Madrid against Real just three days later, a game that could position Saša Obradović's team favorably for the play-in rounds, provided other results align.

Obradović and Dobrić Cautious Ahead of Cluj Clash

Saša Obradović, head coach of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, stated that his team anticipates a tough encounter against Cluj in the regional ABA League.

"We're expecting a difficult and unique game against an opponent who has repeatedly demonstrated significant quality this season. They've defeated teams vying for the top spots in both the ABA League and EuroCup. We know which individuals pose a threat; they have an outstanding backcourt, but as a team, they perform excellently across all positions. Our match in Lyon was tough in every sense, both physically and mentally draining. On the other hand, we want to play a strong, competitive game, but it won't be easy. I call upon our fans to come and support us." - Saša Obradović

Captain Ognjen Dobrić also addressed the media.

"Cluj is an excellent team. We've had the opportunity to play them before, and it wasn't an easy game. Throughout the season, we've seen them as an equal rival, a team capable of beating anyone in both the ABA League and EuroCup. We will approach this match with maximum focus. We truly had a very tough game in France in every sense, but we want another victory with our fans in our arena." - Ognjen Dobrić

Who's Officiating?
