The 35-year-old has signed a four-match deal with Real American Freestyle (RAF). The news was confirmed to MMA Junkie on Monday by his manager, Dominance MMA's Ali Abdelaziz. Magomedsharipov is slated to make his promotional debut at an event in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 14, with an opponent still to be announced.

Magomedsharipov captivated audiences during his UFC run between 2017 and 2019. Widely regarded as one of the biggest "what-ifs" in MMA history, he stepped away from the sport at his peak with an 18-1 record, including a perfect 6-0 mark inside the Octagon. In recent years, he has made sporadic appearances on the grappling circuit, most recently earning a unanimous decision victory over Youssef Zalal at ACBJJ 22 in August.

The circumstances surrounding his retirement from MMA have long sparked intrigue, though Magomedsharipov himself has noted that lingering health issues and a desire to explore new life pursuits were the primary reasons for his departure.

So, while fans may never see his dazzling spinning kicks inside the cage again, this new deal ensures they will still get to witness his high-level technical skills and throws on the mat.
