After their first defeat of the season to West Ham last weekend, Manchester City star, Yaya Toure has opined that the English Premier League will never see another invincible squad.

Arsene Wenger's winning title of 2003-04 went the entire season without defeat, a record which stretched to 49 games.

Toure has however said that feat will never be repeated because the Premier League 'is always improving'.

"The Premier League is always improving and you see how the big clubs invest in players for a lot of money and this sequence in football – the Invincibles – it will never happen again in the Premier League," Toure said.

"All the teams are spending money, buying big players. Like West Ham, even Leicester, Stoke spending on players from Barcelona.

"You can understand how the Premier League is so competitive because all the players want to come to England and want to improve, and want to play well.

"You are not surprised to see Chelsea losing at home to It’s difficult, the Premier League."

Nigeria international, Victor Moses scored as West Ham beat Manchester City at the Etihad stadium on Saturday, September 19.
