As the 2026 World Cup approaches, ticket prices for the final match continue to climb. According to data from the American company Ticketmaster, this reflects exceptionally high demand for the event, which is expected to attract millions of fans worldwide.

The average price for a final ticket has already surpassed $3,000, representing a 15% increase in the last week alone. The most premium seats are being offered for a staggering $10,000, while the most affordable options start around $1,500. Ticketmaster reports that the greatest interest currently comes from fans in the USA and Mexico, followed by supporters from Canada, the UK, and Germany.

Industry experts predict that this upward trend will continue as the tournament draws nearer. They urge fans to exercise caution and purchase tickets only from authorized distributors to protect themselves from scams and counterfeit passes.

The 2026 World Cup will be historic, as it will be the first to feature 48 national teams. Matches will be played across 16 host cities, with the grand final scheduled for MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

For comparison, data from ticket tracking service TicketData.com shows price dynamics from previous tournaments. For instance, for a hypothetical final between Argentina and Spain, the average ticket price on Friday morning was $7,612, after falling to $6,636 on Monday. This represented a 10% increase over three days.

Prices for semi-final matches also varied significantly. Tickets for a hypothetical match between Argentina and England sold for an average of $3,177, while fans paid $1,315 for a clash between Spain and France. A pass for the third-place playoff between France and England in Miami was priced at $653, marking a 61% drop within three days.

An interesting fact is that the presence of high-profile individuals also influences the market. The announcement that US President Donald Trump would attend the final led to a temporary price surge. In October last year, tickets reached $13,650 before dropping to $6,336 a month later. With the tournament starting on June 11, prices again rose above $8,000, peaking at $12,129 on June 23, before subsequently declining.

The final between Spain and Argentina is tomorrow, July 19, and will kick off at 10:00 PM Bulgarian time. This match, along with all 104 games of the 2026 World Cup across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, can be watched live on bnt.sportal.bg.
