Australia hold an unassailable 2-0 lead over the French after grinding out a 6-0 victory in the second Test in Melbourne on Saturday.
The Wallabies wrap up the series at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on Saturday and recalled centre Rob Horne stressed the importance of building on the team's momentum ahead of their Rugby Championship campaign, which kicks off against the All Blacks in August.
"Even though we've already won the series, it doesn't mean anything if we go out there on Saturday and not play well," the 24-year-old said.
"So those interim goals are key. It's a week-to-week prospect in rugby, so those things keeps everyone focused and ready to go."
While Australia are eying success in the third and final game, coach Ewen McKenzie is in the fortunate position of being able to blood youth into the national team.
McKenzie has called upon Will Skelton for the clash, with the 22-year-old Waratahs lock set to make his debut in his home town as Australia attempt to record a seventh consecutive win for the first time since 1999/2000 that included wins against the All Blacks and South Africa.
Wycliff Palu is the only other change to the team that triumphed in Melbourne.
As for the out-of-sorts French, they have made no less than two changes to the starting line-up as they try to avoid a series sweep.
Coach Philippe Saint-Andre has selected Hugo Bonneval and Fulgence Ouedraogo ahead of Maxime Medard and Yannick Nyanga, who drop to the bench.
