As INEC registration draws to a close, here are the total number of registered voters.

Okay, so you are yet to register to vote in the 2019 elections?

You’ve got a few more days to make that right.

This round of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being undertaken by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) comes to an end on August 31, 2018.

So, what are the numbers we have at this point of the exercise?

As at January of 2018, there were 73,944,312 registered voters across Nigeria.

This is how the number above reflects across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones:

Northwest =18,505,984

Southeast =8,293,093.

Southwest = 14,626,800

South-South=11,101,093

North central=10,586,965

Northeast zone= 9,929,015

Lagos State had the highest amount of registered voters with 6,048,156, while Bayelsa State ranked lowest with 754,394 registered voters.

Since INEC's CVR commenced on April 27, 2017, there have been additions to the January 2018 figures.

What do we have now? See below:

Fresh registration = 12,682,792

Newly registered (male)= 6,850,558

Newly registered (female) = 5,832,234

PVC collection = 813,110

PVC transfer request = 640, 706

PVC replacement request = 998, 993

Total number of registered voters as at August 15, 2018 = 86,627,104
