According to NTA, the recall was issued over faulty child lock system.

Due to this issue, the child lock fails to engage, once there is enough vibration from the opening and closing of a door.

This recall affects the 2016 CC, e-Golf, Golf Rand and Tiguan models.

In October, 2015, the company ordered a recall of 2.4 million cars, after the huge diesel emissions scandal.
