Anichebe joined West Brom on deadline day in 2013 after a £6 million move from Everton but has not been able to hold down a regular shirt due to injuries.

The former Nigeria international took to Twitter to reveal that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires next month.

"Thank you to all the @WBAFCofficial fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future," he wrote.

The 28-year-old only managed 63 caps for West Brom and scored nine goals.

He has started just three Premier League games this season and failed to score a single goal this season after appearing in 14 matches in all competitions.

The striker refused a loan deal to Championship side, Derby during the January transfer window.

A move to Derby County was proposed to him by the club but Anichebe chose to stay to fight for a place in the team.
